Quickly Open Network Connections List in Windows 7 or Vista Lowell Heddings @lowellheddings Updated October 21, 2009, 10:15pm EDT One of the biggest annoyances for me in Windows 7 or Vista is that you can’t immediately open the Network Connections list to see the list of adapters like you could in XP. Under Windows 7 and Windows Vista Microsoft has improved internet security by allowing you to specify whether a particular internet connect, most commonly connections to wireless networks, are connections to you Home network, your Work network, or a Public network. Which setting you choose affects how much Windows trusts hosts on this. I've been battling with VPN / Certificate issues on my Windows 2003 SBS Server. Current setup: PPTP configured, all clients can connect. Windows XP,Windows 2003 and Windows Vista L2TP configured. Learn how to configure apps to auto-trigger VPN connections in Windows 10. Windows Vista; Windows Server Toggle children Toggle children. Auto-Triggering VPNs in Windows 10. VPN (and other) connections are stored in the rasphone.pbk file, which can be copied from and then placed in the following path: C: Documents and Settings All Users Application Data Microsoft.

I make VPN connections using Vista's Connection Manager, and would like to disconnect the VPN connection from the command line so I can create a shortcut command called vpn.disconnect in Promptu Launcher.

How can I disconnect the VPN connection via the command line?

We use a Windows PPTP VPN connection to get onto our network's VPN.

Handbook of agriculture icar pdf. Is there a way I can write a batch script or export my settings to add this VPN connection to another person's computer. I also need to be able to set certain things like 'Do not use default gateway' and add a WINS server.

You're looking for the Connection Manager Administation Kit. You can use this tool to create a program to automatically configure client computers with a 'connection' to your VPN server. It's actaully rather nice to use. We take the output from the CMAK and deploy it onto clients with startup scripts, but you could definitely email the resulting EXE (or a link thereto) to clients for them to execute.

The CMAK is an Add/Remove Windows Components option in Windows Server 2003 and an a 'feature' (if I recall properly) on Windows Server 2008.

If anywhere this would probably be in the registry somewhere. You might be able to export/import that way.

You could also use something like powershell.
